Products, Price and Competitors

In this episode I will be talking about some of the products Sobeys carries and the price ranges compared to other retail stores and Competitors.

Basically Sobeys carries the same products as most of the typical grocery stores do such as; your fruits and vegetables, frozen goods, canned goods, meats etc. On their website they have categories that are divided under the following subheadings:
 1.Private brands
2. Cheese
3. Seafood
4. Produce
5. Meat
6. Deli
7. Our Kitchen
8. Grocery
9. Jamie Oliver
10. Natural Sources
11. Bakery
Sobeys has very good customer service and is a little bit of a high brand retail store, so thus the prices of Sobeys might be higher than say a Lob-laws  which happen to be the top competitor for Sobeys. Lob-laws is an American based company while Sobeys is a Canadian based company. Unlike Walmart  Lob laws and Sobeys are labelled food retailers and not superstores. Even though Sobeys comes second to Lob laws  Lob laws has 1000 retailed and franchised stores in Canada, three hundred (300) less stores than Sobeys (1300 stores). Lob laws is founded in 1919, operated in the early 1960’s and operated in states such as New York and Pennsylvania.

It all depends on the income and the customer opinion, because Sobeys is a high brand company who cares about its customer relationship, and has plans on moving forward with customer appreciation trying to make themselves available by making the job as easy as possible for their customers to look and buy whatever they need.

How do you think Sobeys website ranks up against other retail stores across Canada?
Are you able to easily access the Sobeys website?
Do you think Sobeys has a good customer service program? If so why?
How fresh are your food products when you shop at Sobeys? Are you happy with them?
